Knee Updates

ok...first the good news. Doc said that I had a strong hamstring ligament for the donor and it grafted well. Bad news...swelling is still above normal. Flex is OK for my surgery. He's got me working on flex goals (110% bend by next thursday- I'm about 80-85% now) and possibly some light stationary cycling to assist in that if only to get the leg in motion. Might have to hobble down to clubhouse to use their recumbent.

I was managing the drugs (less less less) and he said I should be managing the pain instead. so now I take when I need em. Have a new compression sock (it hurts) that should help with swelling and he wants me to elevate as much as possible through the weekend.

Sorry work.....one more week and then we'll see about returning. The PT and work return will depend on the flex and extension rehab next week (so that I can possibly drive the clutch) Stitches to come out next Thrusday and then another re-evaluation.

fun never ends. I have work ahead of me now and at least a goal or two.
