Is anyone out there?

It MUST be my fault for lack of clarity. The lesson just isn't being absorbed. now...the boss? It's totally my fault for not simply saying something. Who gives you grief on the last day of the year, when WE led the organization in most categories and I led the way in several of the peer categories. Who does that?

Quo Vadis

Where are you going?

This book has garnered me quite a bit of attention and I have to say...Me likey. :)

I'm thoroughly enjoying the book, too. Just today, a guy approached me and said "there can't be too many people reading Quo Vadis right now". I told him that this was my favorite book of the year and I wasn't looking forward to finishing it. He smiled and walked away. (The weird thing is that he eyed me coming in before I even took my coat off or brought the book out of my bag)

Young to Old have approached me while I've been reading this book. I'm liking the fact that it is indeed acknowledged, well liked to life changing in it's effect and admittedly powerful.

Quo Vadis. where AM I going?

25% discount

So, we get this email from Barnes and Nobles that says 25% off of any instore purchase. OK...I'm thinking we already bought our gifts...how can we not waste this? 25% off of a coffee?? is that excluded? and what is 25% of 1.55. And most importantly (after reading the small print that no way coffee can be excluded....but I'm ready to put up a good fight. I even show KB, who says the idea is ludicrous. Nevertheless...we proceed Sunday to Barnes and Noble and I'm ready to make a stink.

we get to the counter....I have my dukes up and say "I'd like to redeem my 25% coupon" and the barista says "sure...but I can only discount one coffee" (she saw that I was with KB)

Uhhhhhh.....Cool!

I wanted a small fight...and got none.

Feast of the Seven Fishes

We are planning a Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas eve with one of our italian friends. will be alot of fun even if it's just us. (besides it's kristines birthday and what better way to celebrate THAT than with TONS OF FISH!)

wiki it for a little background. here's a taste:

Italians around the world celebrate Christmas Eve with a Feast of the Seven Fishes, also known as La Vigilia.

It is a meal that consists of, typically, seven different seafood dishes. Some Italian families have been known to celebrate with 9, 11 or 13 different seafood dishes. This celebration is a commemoration of the wait, Vigilia di Natale, for the midnight birth of the baby Jesus.

we're doing our own fish thing though...

the doggies had a slight altercation when we put the biscotti under the tree. The biscotti have since been removed (and partially eaten)

Bizarre

This was just bizarre. Geli bobbing for kibbles. She dropped a few in accidentally and then retrieved them (from the bottom of the water bowl)

I threw a few in myself and encouraged her to get em....and she did. Water everywhere, but she was bobbing for kibbles.

Letterbox

I'll never know what you'll find when you open up your letter box tomorrow
'Cause a little bird never tells me anything I want to know, she's my best friend, she's a sparrow
And I'll never never know what you never never never want to know when you know what you are, O.

Obituaries

In ancient Greece, when someone died, they didn't write an obituary. They only asked one question: "did he live with passon?".
