Sundial Pattern??
What the heck am I doing here?? I'd like to extend the path 'thru' the sundial. Build the bottom third in a nice clean arc and everything in between just crazy. thoughts??

Have all of the metal strapping cut and laid out. now time to complete the base and start laying stones.

Rock Bridge
the Rock bridge is taking shape with the addition of the mosses and sedums. However it will probably have to go. New design in process.

Sundial Beginnings
So...the secret is out. Our patio will be a 10 foot Sundial when it's not in use as a patio. 2" steel strapping will line out the hour markers. Picked em up at FC Metal Works for a fraction of what Home Despot charges. And...they even cut them for me to length. A few more and then I can start laying the stones around them. Neighbor came by while I was sanding and painting the strapping (graphite grey) and commented one what she 'suspected' I was doing with the patio. She was right! I'm thinking that if FC Metal Works can cut me a 6 inch metal pipe into 2" ring I can use that to fan out the legs of the dial.

Much progress today...
started on the circle and planted a bunch of moss type things near the bridge.
