Cross beams cut and one is attached. need to get the light installed inside before I set the second cross bar. But it's going to look great.

Tuesday

July is coming to a close. KB and Ros are traveling today. Should be back to the Fort later this afternoon.

The house is CLEAN! (well, not entirely, but damn picked up overall) Gotta pay back KB for leaving me with a clean house to start my week of bachelorhood.

Yard is taken care of too, so no real work out there until the weekend. Which is good because apparently I am going to get baby duty as soon as I get home today from work.

Dad is growing the San Marzanos and I'm thinking that he tried to figured out how to send some with KB. looking forward to them, but if they don't make it, I'll just have to go back to SB in august.

the wobble

polaris won't be the north star for long. it moves of to two other stars before returning to Polaris after a 26000 year cycle of wobble. WTF?

how did the mayans know this??

Arbor and Deck Work

Finally did something out there after stalling for a while. Arbor 80% complete. Need to get 2x10x10 rough cedar to finish the cross arms (see sketch)

maybe a few of those junk brackets from work. dunno.

and finally started working on decking. Have some ideas but it will be slow slow going to figure out.

dolls are going to be used for sure.

this wine is nice and I came up with another signature dish; the Beet Burger. (no...not a burger OF beet, but beet in the burger to give it the red I'm looking for)

charing cedar can make it weather resistant for an additional 50-70 years. I'm trying it on the redwood arbor pieces. ...plus, its fun to burn things.
