Laramie Bath Project Phase I

There was a roof at ceiling height that was simply encorporated as part of the bathroom addition. Looks like it was at one time an attached shed.

The plan? to reinforce the ceiling with 2x6's. This will give us needed depth for our can lights and will also allow us to go from a max R22 to possibly an R38. Badly needed in this bathroom

The tub will come out and we have a tile shower stall in mind for it's replacement. KB wants to keep the pipes exposed (copper paint?) which I think is a brilliant idea. We can make a box (giving us shelf space in the shower). This will keep all the plumbing exactly where it is and add a nice touch to the small stall. A small, low wall will go from left to right just past the toilet. A low lipped entry and a small wall detail on the right side to continue the wall line to the outside wall.

Tile design pending.

First things, first. Reframe. Prewire for lighting and Insulate. this buys us time thru the winter to continue at our leisure.
