What the heck am I doing here?? I'd like to extend the path 'thru' the sundial. Build the bottom third in a nice clean arc and everything in between just crazy. thoughts??

Why don't you have the path follow the top arch of the sundial until it hits the line to the bottom third? then you can kind of radiate from center up to the path in a sunburst pattern?
