So, Happy Hallows Eve a few days late. playing catch up as is the usual these days.
Notes:
Almost full moon, perfect fall weather.
Luca practically refused a costume.
roz rocked the Astrid costume
Us three hit about 20 houses, our block and west (and missed polly's - think she ws bummed) Roz went from standing at the door expectantly to shouting out 'TRICK OR TREAT!" really loud.
Came home with full bag. Luca got many compliments on sheer cuteness.
The door and yard got many compliments as well.
KB had to Staff it for 45 while we were out.
147 kiddos total tally, but I might have missed a few. There was a rash there when I was at the door by myself.
Think i may have scared a few kids pretty good with crow (especially that teenage gal). One I feel bad about. he was kind of young and seemed petrified with terror.
Almost broke even with candy bought and disbursed (although I got scolded for handing out more than one peice per. my logic was that if the costume was great, they got a bonus and only a handful got double candy...)
Luca totally got the concept and the door worked better for him than Roz. he was calling kids in.
Stay Puft and the headless man were favorites.
When Roz, Luca and I were on our way back to house, I looked down our street. Almost every house lit up and participating. Kids everywhere running back and forth. We have a good block. was great to see such excitement on one of the best days of the year.
Good Stuff
